I'm going to this but from Cardiff and expect to arrive approx 11 am and depart approx 6 pm
I'm hopefully meeting up with an old school friend who I haven't seen for about 35 years so will contact about pre match pubs on the day :-)

Got my match ticket for this now. Having to get an earlier train that gets in at 11 because of a train guards strike. What pub are we using for this one. We used to go to the a pub called something like the Fellows Samuel and Clayton near the station with the 1927 club. Decent pub where they brewed the beer on the premises. That would be my favourite. Also we have used The Old Trip to Jerusalem reputedly Britains oldest pub. Bit touristy for me but it's ok.

I've been to the Vat & Fiddle before when going to Nottingham for cricket. Proper old pub with great beer and its entire route to ground. I suggest giving this a try!

Both mentioned pubs look good.
Thanks for posting link Bryan as I’ve been trying to remember the name of the pub.

The football league grounds guide I looked at has Hooters on its map page as a beer glass but I think it closed down many years ago Glyn. Remember being dragged in there after a game against Forest or even Notts Couny it was that long ago. It isn't mentioned as a place to go in the guide.

Just Googled Hooters Nottingham and it is open. Not sure where it is but if it's on the way to the ground we could drop in as it would be convenient
