Guys, I hope you are all aware, travel in South East London is a nightmare on Boxing Day:
South-Eastern Trains ..... no service apart from Ashford – St Pancras
Southern ..... Crystal Palace vs Cardiff City - Selhurst Park
Due to major engineering works in the London Victoria area, there will be no trains to / from London Victoria.
There will be a limited service between East Croydon and London Bridge.
..... and that “limited service” means Trains will not call at Norwood Junction after 13:00
Also: London Bridge and Sutton via Selhurst and West Croydon.....trains will not call at Selhurst or Thornton Heath after 13:00

I'm going to head to our usual pub - The Ship if anyone else fancies a festive tipple!

P.S. will also be looking to offload my Leicester ticket as there's a replacement bus service on train route from Cardiff and the round trip will take about 10 hours!

I think the Ship is permanently closed from what I can tell online. Not much other choice round there for away fans and with Selhurst, Norwood Junction and Thornton Heath stations all closed I was thinking of heading to the Porter and Sorter nesr East Croydon and either get a taxi or try the tram and walk if need be.

"I was thinking of heading to the Porter and Sorter nesr East Croydon and either get a taxi or try the tram and walk if need be".
The other option is get the tram from East Croydon to Blackhorse Lane, and have a couple in The Joiners Arms. I've often had a drink in there before games. Decent, reasonable pub.
It's then a 15-20 min walk to the ground.
..... also, probably your best option (Blackhorse Lane tram) of getting back to East Croydon after the game.
