Quick note on one of my posts up thread, I didn't mean to pick out Leigh, Andy & Richard for particular stick, so apologies to them if that's how they feel. It's just they were the ones straight onto me to "get the name back" which I'm keen to do, but it turns out there's not the widespread will for it that we naively thought there might be.  Cheers.

I'd also like to apologise personally and profusely to Andy Evans who I've just had a long chat with - I've misrepresented him utterly as someone who boycotted the whole of the first season and agreed with the 1927 club's original decision.    My statement was clumsy and thoughtless in that aspect.  I've tried throughout the whole fiasco to try not to fall out with anyone, and to get to the last and f*ck it up like that was not my intention.

I think 2 clubs is a bit daft and a merger makes more sense. The name could be "The 1927 London Bluebirds".
