Re: Sunderland (a) - 2017/18 season.

Been looking at trains and I think the 08:11 from Kings Cross out.

Returning on the 17:29. Both journeys are direct.

The price at the moment is £51 for young guns and £34 for old gits.

Who's going to join me?

Re: Sunderland (a) - 2017/18 season.

Me, when the train timings are confirmed. All other trains around our timings in both directions have 2 changes. Take it that the 17:29 is feasible from the ground, not been to Sunderland before.

Re: Sunderland (a) - 2017/18 season.

I will probably do this one. Not sure if the 17.29 back is feasible last time I did Sunderland you had to get a train from Newcastle to Sunderland so coming back you had to walk from the ground to Sunderland station then get on a train to Newcastle station before getting the train back from Newcastle. No idea if this is still the same but if it is and there is any delay getting out of the ground or a Sunderland station it might be tricky.

Aidan, as Paul stated the trains are direct in and out of Sunderland in both directions. Cheers!.

Are we going with the above suggested trains then  -  the 08:11 from Kings Cross out.returning on the 17:29.from Sunderland - both trains being direct without any changes? Please advise.

I've booked the above trains.

The ground is about a mile from the station so should not be an Issue.

Just gives enough time to pick up refreshments before the journey home.😀🍺🚂
